I drew the bird on an OLD hymnal page then painted it with pearlescent watercolor to give it a sheen. I used dylusions for the background, then stamped gears,the gearguy and music once it was dry. I tore paper for the branch the bird is sitting on and accented it with a distress marker. I tore some bright paper and glued them in the corners, added some rub ons and highlighted with a white souffle pen.Then I used distress paints to add the musical notes.The words on the left were torn from the hymnal. I wanted the word own to stand out so I wrote it with the same color distress marker I outlined the others with. I decided the branches needed leaves so I sprayed white ones with dylusions and cut them to size. Last, I couldn't help but put the steampunked cuckoo clock in.
