AWESOME as usual...love the colours and the superb photo; the metal embellies are fabulous...I love metals on lo's!! This is so filled with wonderful textures, layers, all the seed beads and gems! Beautiful job!
Wow, this one is a stunner again. When you posted it I put my 3 favs directly, but had no time to take a LONG look and comment. I love every inch of this LO. So much to see again. I love that green flower and all the other things. But most I like the letters! on my extreme layout I tryed to melt the mica flakes again (now from the backside of the paper) , but they just dont melt. I only burned the paper. I had a laugh about it, you should have seen me. So now I use them with glue. Your LO warms me , so I think I have to put a fav for heartwarming aswell.
I love how you've created such a natural background for this beautiful photo - it must have been difficult to move from that gorgeous property - love the beautiful color palette, the draped carnelian pendant, the mica chips, and the butterflies - gorgeous ~
I love how you put so much into your layouts Melissa! You think about everything you bring to your art and it shows! Wonderful use of all the metals and mica chips!
Unbelievable!!!!!!! There are so many wonderful details you created I don't know where to start! You are such an amazing artist, and this lo shows it!!!!
Love all the background details and goodies you've added-it all works together beautifully to showcase the photo! That compass is fabulous-is it a TH item? Your pages are always so unique and creative, and I always enjoy seeing your latest projects!
Wow, outstanding! I love all the details on this! They're just bursting off the page. I know just how you feel too. Many times, I'm about to give up and decide I'll just never like a page I'm working on, and then all of a sudden I find just the right touch to complete it. Glad I'm not the only one!
So beautiful Melissa!!!! I just love it! I love how you cut into the background paper and lifted the corners of each piece---its like a mystery---what's really behind the corner. Truly another fave for me!
Aren't the people here on sb.com wonderful?! That is awesome that you Quick Silver sent you those items!!! And I love everything about your artistic and beautiful page. The photo of your hubby is amazing!
I actually had to enlarge so I could study all the details?! Rich colours offset by SO MANY materials, layers, beads, wood, charms.. Never ending & one that every time you look, you see something else. So much work, amazing!! :)
Gosh, such detail. Must have taken you ages! You have really thought about this page and it sure is lovely... My mum, scaryscrapper has been using little beads on her layouts too.... They look more effective in real life, don't they? xx
Amazing, as always. Beautiful colours that are perfect for the photo. I just loved exploring this page for all the little embellishments. It's especially nice to include embellies that have a personal connection.
Beautiful rich colours and a fabulous mix of textures and embellishments. Cool pic of Rich in a natural setting. I like the torn sections, stitching, metal, colours and gems too.
Another stunning work! I love the entire work. All of the wonderful charms and beads totally rock! I know what you mean about working on something until BOOM, you finally hit on the final touch.
This is my Dh at our home in California we used to have. There are mica chips at the top. I got the idea from Wilmavoeren.Ive seen them at the store before but they didn't appeal to me, till I saw they looked good on one of her pages. A number of items here Quick Silver was kind enough to give me. The die cut on the right middle border, The metal flower inside the green one on the left of the photo, and the little rooster sticker underneath the orange flower at the top. Also a piece of wood I split up and put the title letters on, its underneath the photo, its small. The gold chain has a carnelian pendant on it . My sis gave me the pendant. It's weird how a lot of times I'll do pages , and its not till the very last thing I put on that I like it. Ide forgotten I had those big flowers cuz ide put them into a separate basket of ones in packages. Most of my flowers are in baggies in drawers. Once I put the flowers on I felt this was ok to post. For the letters I used an alphabet stencil. I meant for there to be just little parts of the letters, but wound up with more. There are 3 citrines on the bottom left butterfly.
