This card was made for the Cast Study challenge and I created it especially for my daughter - for her to receive from her 5 week old daughter for Mother's Day. This is her first Mother's Day as a new mom and she is struggling with new mommy-hood.
I wrote a poem that I printed out on the computer for the inside of this card:
“I know that I am demanding, and I rarely let you sleep But I'll be small only a little while, my tiny size won't keep. So while I fit within your arms, I want to be right there Wrapped within your loving arms, and cradled in your care.”
I die cut the “mommy” out using my silhouette and beneath it I colored a piece of paper using Copic markers. I was totally inspired by JJ's card (on the challenge blog) with the multi-colors beneath the die cut. I added an embellishment grouping of a stamped heart from PTI, washi tape by Freckled Fawn & Cosmo Cricket and a tag adorned with a tiny butterfly.
