Fabulous job!! We were at Cocoa beach last summer...totally LOVE the area. Gorgeous beach. We stayed at the Hotel that was owned by the original astronauts. Very cool....you did a great job mimicking your inspiration. (-;
OMGosh! How in the world did you cut the photos and matts to look like little retro TV? Like the Kennedy logo? What a great design idea! And the little star on there is totally 1950's retro too. These are awesome photos too. Perfectly done project!
We visited Orlando over spring break and spent a day at Kennedy Space Center. Can't tell you how much fun I'm having with my Cameo - it makes quick work for projects like this. Now I'm off to work on Universal Studios, Sea World and Cocoa Beach from the same trip - TFL
Old products used: Old, but new GAKropper kindly sent me some Paper Adventures Page Flippers circa 2003 and that's what will house these - Thanks GAKropper :)
Journaling for this page: We had an amazing time at the Kennedy Space Center! We walked through the Early Space Exploration Exhibit first and then through the Rocket Garden. Matthew and Karenna spent time in the Children’s Play Dome. Afterwards, we walked through the Angry Birds Space Encounter and then through The Exploration Space-Explorers Wanted Exhibit, where the kids learned to dock a capsule on a space station. We had lunch at the Orbit Café before heading out for the Tour of the Launch Complexes and Apollo/Saturn V Center. We saw a few crocodiles on the tour as KSC is in the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. The kids learned so much and really enjoyed all the presentations, collections and activities. They even got to touch a moon rock!
“For the eyes of the world now look into space, to the moon and to the planets beyond, and we have vowed that we shall not see it governed by a hostile flag of conquest, but by a banner of freedom and peace.”
President John F. Kennedy, September 1962 in a speech at Rice University
