A little more simplistic card in my portfolio, but I'm really into the layering of panels lately, so I'm having fun with that. It's not as easy as it looks, even when I'm using inspirational cards as a pattern. In viewing the finished project, I think it could have been better if I had raised the panel with the brads up higher, and the stamped panel a bit higher. I think the solid blue panel has too much of a blue void showing and raising the two mentioned panels would have made a better final product, thus a great learning experience. This is a floral path stamp with a lot of dense foliage. I textured some of the flowers in the primary blue and yellow color of the card. All else is hand painted or chalked. In viewing the master stamp image I noticed there was shading, so I decided to shade in green chalk. As usual with my chalk work, most of the chalking is hard if not impossible to see in a pic. Chalking is in the foliage area. I also chalked the outer card in yellow. I hand painted the remaining foliage and flowers and did a washing of red brick color within the pathway. The washing didn't show up very well in the pic. The rest of the card is simply layering of panels all framed in a deeper yellow. There are obvious embellishments of large yellow brads and white twine.
