The journaling says it all about this little ragged pinwheel made out of notebook paper. But I wish I'd gotten a picture of Mother making this little gem....
Journaling: When NSD came around on May 4, 2013, there was a challenge to make a LO using a homemade pinwheel. "I can do that," Mother said. And proceeded to make the first pinwheel she'd made in 50 years. I had to watch the video to make mine!
Mother helped us make all kinds of things when we were kids. Imagination was king - or queen!
She taught us to make pinwheels, paperdolls, cutout dolls holding hands, homemade playdoh, child-cut cookies, carnations from tissue paper, folded fans, snowflakes, paper lace, sawmill spinners with a button, twig and grass whistles, a fist whistle, a grass gun, paper hats and little flags to parade with.
