I started by covering the damask paper with a thin layer of gesso and then a rainbow of distress inks. I put down a stencil and then spritzed water over the entire paper then used a paper towel to soak up the excess water and ink. I ended up with a beautiful reverse of the stencil and a great background to build up from.

Other products used: Recollections papers and flowers, MME Stella and Rose decorative brads, Prima typo zipper.
