I love this page, Lynn! I love how you scrapped your fear! It doesn't look wonky at all - it looks amazing!!!! (My mom has hearing loss, and is a big fear of mine, too, as I get closer to the age where it started for her.)
Wow! Lynne, this is absolutely brilliant. How brave of you to share this vulnerability with us, but in a very artsy, creative way. I love the 'punky' graffiti style artwork, it's very urban and funky and oh so totally cool. Fave for me.
Wow, I'm completely gobsmacked! And so in awe of you sharing this fear. 10 out of 10, brave girl. The layout is awesome, love the background, and title work is brilliant! And I thought you'd scrap a fear of not seeing squirrels for a week.
My husband has hearing aids since birth, very powerful ones, profoundly hard of hearing.
I have to really listen in social situations so as to fill in the blanks so he can feel part of everything. Awesome hidden journaling!!!!
Lynne, 1st of all - kudos to you for facing your fear and sharing it with your friends here as well as documenting it for future generations of your family. You have created a bold, BRAVE lo. Your background is awesome.
Love what you did with this paper!! I completely understand how you feel, I've also had inherited hearing loss for almost 40 years. Your layout says it all!!
This is fantastic Lynne! Perfect paper, inking, your sound wave-like journaling. Kudos to you for bringing this fear out for everyone to see. We all know my fear is finishing a layout...
Aww, this is bringing me to tears my dear Lynne. You know, I've never even noticed your hearing aids in the times I've seen you! Not even when I held back your hair so you could take a pic of that layout.
for the challenge with Sue, Angela and Wendy: scrap a fear, use black, use paint, include something hidden and at leas 3 lines of journaling. I chose my hereditary hearing loss and the fears and worries it brings for the future. I started with white embossed cardstock, inked and heat embossed, then drybrushed with black paint. The punchwork looks perfectly straight IRL; guess it looks so wonky here because the paint made the paper curl a bit. TFL friends!
