I used a handmade 12x12 canvas as my 'shadow box'. After papering it, I cut open the canvas, shaped & glued it down. I used chipboard for the backing. The inside of the box is decorated with sticks, moss, mini terracotta pots, tiny flowers/grass, bird, and a wood peg fairy that was made by hand. The fairy's clothing was made from felt, the hair was made with crocheted fiber, and her hat is the top of an acorn!!
