Very simple layout. I wanted the focus to be on the journaling and the pics. I had so much fun taking these pictures! It was like I was a real photographer with a studio, not just an old white kitchen towel!
There are a lot of things that remind me of Grama Betty. Red and yellow bing cherries are one of those things. Grama Betty used to bring a package of washed bing cherries to Mom and Dad’s house during the summer when I was home. I remember they were the sweetest tasting things in the whole world. Eating them was better than eating candy! Today, while shopping at Target, I came across bing cherries. I couldn’t resist so I picked a carton up and put it into my cart. At home, I washed them, thinking about all the times Grama would bring them over to our house. I remembered her warning me that they have seeds in them so I wouldn’t choke. I remembered her standing at her kitchen sink rinsing them off. I remember the red Tupperware bowl she would put them in, and I remember the folded paper towel that would come with the bowl that I could spit the cherry pits into. Today I got out that red Tupperware bowl from Grama’s house, dropped a few cherries into it, ripped off a white paper towel, and sat at the table eating them, just like Grama.
