The day I told my husband I was pregnant.
Journaling:
Ray and I moved to Fresno, CA on Jan. 3. (We would not close on our house until Feb. 1st, so we had to live in a hotel for a month.) Only a week and a half later I was shopping at Target when I was suddenly overcome with a strange feeling. I stopped in the middle of an isle and thought to myself, "I'm pregnent!" I bought a pregnancy test, a pair of baby booties and a card. I caled Ray on my way back to the hotel and told him I had a surprise for him. When I got to the room, I took the test which was positive, just as I knew it would be. I wrapped up the booties in a gift bag and when Ray got "home" I gave him the card and the bag. After he read the card (and thinking this was some sort of Anniversary gift) he said, "I feel bad that I didn't get you anything." I told him "sure you did". When he opened the bag and saw the bootie, he got a huge smile on his face and through teary-eyes, he asked, "ARE YOU?" We hugged for a long time and told each other how happy and excited we are and can't wait to be "mommy" and "daddy". Afterwards we went out to a nice dinner to celebrate.
