wonderful picture. You did a gr8 job with it. Love how you hung the sign from the hinge.Love how you distressed the brick pp and put a contrasting pp behind it to peep out. Great detail with all the embellies.
This is a great LO! The heritage photo is wonderful and you gave a very appropriate treatment -- very masculine and not overly done. Thanks for sharing the family story. Also, thank you for telling about the chunky embossing powder as I have never seen it or heard anything about it. (I must live in a very small world of my own.) This is definitely a favorite!
Absolutely brilliant heritage page....love the photo and I love the way you have scrapped it. The pp's and embellies work so well with the theme of the photo!!
Incredible work lady! OMW this is sooo awesome! Your details and choices are perfect! It's delightful and perfectly vintage. You have such a gift friend!
You've outdone yourself with this one, Vicki - such a fabulous heritage page - perfect pp for your photo - love how you've torn it and used it as a frame for your wonderful photo - the burlap and the grommets are then the perfect touch - love your story - your GF must have been very persistent - FAVE ~
I don't know where to start to tell you everything I LOVE about this LO. You did a fanastic job on from the great photo to the distressing to the paper choice to the embellies. It is in my favs for sure. The story is so wonderful too. Did I mention I LOVE this? :)
This is a photo of my grandfather at his work place. He is the one sitting on a tire. I don't know who the other gentleman is. My GF's life's journey was a rocky one until he came to Florence on his own at the age of 17. The story my GM told is that around 1925 he saw her walking down the street and said "See that Woman? I'm going to marry her one day". And he did. I wonder if the other man in the photo is who is said that to! The original photo belongs to my brother who is named for our GF.
The embossing powder I used it a "Chunky" type by Recollections. I used chunky Aged Black and Aged Silver" I love them!
