It's amazing what a difference one little rule change can make to the start and end of our day. You two can not brush teeth without mucking around. I don't like it, but it's a fact of life I've had to accept. This week we implemented a new house rule. You are not to brush teeth (or even be in the same bathroom) at the same time. You take turns or use a different bathroom, and if I have to warn you about mucking around, you lose your pocket money for the week. So far it's worked really well. The whole tone of the house has changed as a consequence. Our mornings are calm and orderly, and our evenings end with everyone happy and ready for bed on time. I'm happy, you're happy, we're all happy. I should have done this years ago. 25-06-13
