WOOHOO! I finally did it! I have looked at all the mixed media's that you lovely people have been doing & I finally got up enough nerve to try! So much fun putting all those little embellies on the canvas. I did this for my son & wife, and many springs & metal pieces are from the fly reels they make at their work. I sure hope they like it, if not I want it back!:)
This is an 8x10 canvas, gesso'd twice & then added embellies like lace, dry wall tape, burlap, wooden letters & a Cheery Lynn flourish. I did 3 coats of gesso, drying well between coats. Then I sprayed with Heidi Swapp Color Shine. Through this process I found a new friend "gesso"! I love how the sprays cling to metal, paper, plastic covered in gesso! TFL & have a blessed day!
