This is a layout I created from a sketch by MelissaW. It is a picture taken of the school age children from my child care. They are praying before their first day of school as they do every day before school. The journaling reads: Walk with these children on their first day of school. Whisper to them whatever they need to hear, so they may feel safe and happy. Cover their school with the protection that only You can give and keep them from harms way. Make their minds strong and ready to learn. Help them to understand that hard work honors the One who created them so never give up. Guide their teachers with patience and wisdom and creativity. Bless them for their efforts. Help these children to not only learn academics but friendship as well. Help them to be kind and unselfish and to love those who are different. We thank you for each and every one of them and for the opportunity they are given to learn. Amen.
