Journalling: Every year on July 4 we load up our huge 15 passenger van with blankets, chairs, snacks, and a big cooler full of drinks and head out to Lake Shawnee to watch the fireworks. The fun of the evening does not lie in only the huge fireworks show but in the hours leading up to the show. The kids have a blast playing, running around, and setting off small fireworks.
