I've been procrastinating on these photos for ages - I'm so glad to finally have them scrapped. I had 26 pics already printed in 4x6, and only wanted to do a 2 pager, and am too cheap/lazy to reprint them in smaller sizes. It turned out that I had quite a few similar ones, so I was able to weed them down to 12 pics with only a couple left out that I would have used if I could have fit them. I'm SO close to being done with the pics I stupidly printed years ago in all 4x6 - I hate scrapping that way. I really prefer to plan the page first, and then print only the photos I really need/want and size them accordingly. I hate throwing away a stack of 14 photos, most of which shouldn't have even been printed in the first place.

Anyway, these are from the 4th of July parade in Land o' Lakes, Wisconsin in 2008. It's been 4 years since my dd and I have been able to be there for the Fourth, so working with these pics made me happy... and a little bit sad. She and I used to spend the summers there, but her teenage summers are too busy for that now. :(

Journaling says: Cassie, my parents, and I got our usual spot in front of the Rusty Nail with the Olsons, Keoughs, and Paul Conway for the Lando parade. We brought Abby but let Lexie stay home. Highlights this year were the Dari-Maid float celebrating Bobby Pitts and the Mayberry Kennels float carrying 8 Labradoodle puppies.

I wrote the names in a line of doodled stitching along the bottom of the LO. The title letters are rub-ons. I popped the punched stars up with foam tape.
