thanks! To make the color blocking I bought a 12 x 12 "die cut with a view" and used a craft knife to cut out the entire middle and various squares on the sides. Then I measured the openings and cut different colors of vellum to fit. I found running them all through the xyron and then adhering them to the vellum while "flipping" the top up and down was easier than trying to adhere the vellum pieces right to the die cut itself. Sorry, a long explanation. I got the idea from the Making Memories book, "borders and titles". TFL!
This is a gift I made for my mother-in-law for easter. We just got the picture of her and my son taken today. It's actually in a KI scrapbooking frame that is blue, but it didn't scan in correctly so I took it out of the frame to scan it. Hope you like it, thanks for looking!
