I made this one for a dear friend in Arkansas. The doily flower was made from a Helen Croft tutorial on her Scrap a Little website. She has some really awesome flower-making tutorials and I'm so anxious to try them out! I've made two different ones so far! This flower has 4 layers to it (4" Wilton doilies) and I colored it using my own homemade glimmermist (also a tutorial from Helen). That's something else I'm very excited about. I never have bought Glimmermist because of the expense and figured there had to be a way to make your own and there is!! Anyway, I added the bottom doily with inked edges to add a little pizazz. The paper used is Colorbok Fancy Fleur Papers, Stickers & Die-Cuts. The lovely butterfly is from Reneabouquets on Etsy. Thank you Renea! The metal embellies are a button (the lady) I got from Joann's and I the heart is from Tim Holtz. My friend Scraphouse let me know about that! Thank you! The corner I cut from my Cricut using recycled mat-type board (Ornamental Iron 2 cartridge) and I used glue to sprinkle the glitter on it. The pearls in the corners are Kaisercraft in plum. Yarn fiber is from Joann's and I can't remember where I got the pearl strands from. I've had them awhile. The fabric brad is from a set I ordered on PeachyCheap.com.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a bright & sunshiney day!
