this is where the Browne Door is from a previous layout. Hubs is working in Galway Ireland so I am doing a book for him. the old name is Eyre square and it was there prior to 1631. In 1965 it was renamed to John F Kennedy Memorial Park but it is still commonly known as Eyre Square. JFK gave a speech here in June 1963. The banners represent the 14 tribes of Galway, also known as The Most Irish.
