I fussy cut the little shrimp - I am not good at fussy cutting but liked the way this little guy turned out.

As soon as we went through the archway and the iron gate to get into the City Market we discovered “Billy's” – a charming little seafood restaurant. I noticed that Bill had wandered over to the menu posted outside the restaurant and I walked over and asked him, “Well, do they have whole-belly clams for you? I know that is what you are checking for.” He told me they did have them and I could tell he wanted some! So inside we went.

Bill got his whole-belly clams and chips and I got mouth-watering panko fried shrimp! It's rare that we eat in restaurants when we travel because we are already paying for food on the ship. However, we were both glad we made this exception!

Then it was time to get back on the ship and have dessert at the café on the ship. I had a mousse which was made with a layer of white chocolate mousse on the bottom and white chocolate mousse on the top which was excellent and Bill was happy with 2 chocolate chip cookies.

I checked out Billy's on the internet and was surprised to find a section called, “Cook Like Billy” which included the fried shrimp recipe! Using a sharp, pointed knife remove shell and de-vein the shrimp keeping the tail intact. Mix together 1 cup of buttermilk, 1/2 cup of sifted flour, 1/8 tsp. of baking powder and 1 beaten egg. Crush up crackers to make crumbs. Dip shrimp into the batter, and then coat with cracker crumbs. Deep fry in preheated fat until crisp and golden. Drain on paper towel, sprinkle with salt and serve.
