I was taking pictures of a Rufous Hummingbird that I posted earlier and that had landed on this same little branch. When I photographed the Rufous, I had to turn my attention away for just a second or two and then when I turned back around to get some more photos I realized an Anna's had come in to the same spot! So, here I am clicking away and all of a sudden this little guy stretches out his wing and starts to scratching his neck up a storm! It was all I could do to get a decent picture because I'd NEVER seen that happen before and I was laughing so hard! I feel so fortunate to have captured at least 3 good photos (of which this was the best) of that scratch!! Thank you for stopping by and I appreciate your comments so much!
