Around Christmas the nurses put a doll Punkin Seat in Dusty's incubator so he could use more muscles. He enjoyed sitting up. We visited the hospital as much as we could. It wasn't easy as we lived about 80 miles away and had two small children at home.
We went for a visit on Christmas Day. To our purprise there were toys around Dusty's incubator. I picked up a metal school bus and the nurse told us that a man, whose baby had been in the Intensive Care Center, bought toys for the babies every Christmas. The nurse also told us that they have a "cutest baby" contest every year and Dusty won this year! He WAS a cute baby with his dark eyes and hair. He continued to gain weight and thrived in their care.
