Sept. POD 2 88th Annual WMAT Fair and Rodeo Parade

Float from the Rainbow Treatment Center the photos are of great Apache leaders, Cochise, Geronimo, Chief Alchesay and Mangas Colorados.

The parade is a huge to-do in Whiteriver, G and I got there are 6:45 to claim our spot for the 9:00 am parade. It lasted two hours, most of the participants are the local royalty, of which there are many, and crown dancer groups from the different nearby Apache tribes. Earlier this year the nine different Apache tribes formed an alliance and so every float bore the slogan "Apaches united we stand, looking forward with dignity." It was a really powerful message.
