Ok crazy idea!!!!! Non folding card with big I love you on it and the word over towards the bottom with an arrow.... Same thing on back..... Hehehe can you see where I'm going with this lol over over over..... It would be an endless I love you.... Thinks for the inspiration!!!!!!! Sorry just had to share!!!!!
I like it. I like it a lot!! Of course I'm twisted like that. And as far as being discreet it's ok cause if the card is double sided you can use the back side for the more intimate message........ Than again who cares be proud of what you have to say and be glad to share it.... Like screaming I love this woman in a wal mart parking lot..... It kinda embarrasses Jennifer but she loves it too lol
Thinking Outside the Lines back side. Here is another idea that is Outside the Lines of norm that I have been playing with. My cards tend to be heavy with all the mattings and embellishments. So I got to thinking: If the card does not fold and have an interior, does that mean it's no longer a greeting card? I don't think so. But there are few fall back. Having a folded card does keep the personal greeting more discreet. Having a fold makes displaying the card easier, whereas a non-folded card requires being propped up. However, as with a heavy card, the card can't always maintain it's standing weight. Not having a folded card is nice because it's uses less paper since the front and back each requires a 8 x 11 sheet of paper since my cards are usually around 8 x 9 or larger, so it's always nice to save a whole sheet of paper. So with less paper at 8 x 9, the finish produce weighs less. So now...for this card, there wasn't any embellishment, so I had to think, what can I bring to the salutation side as carry over from the front design. Why not continue the concept? The embossing ink would not adhere to the card stock, so I used normal ink which appears lighter. Then I colored beyond the lines as with the front images. The white salutation side was too stark, so I chalked the edges as well to bring in more color. I was thinking of coloring/blending with the three colors from the front of burgundy, pink and orange, but I thought that might not work since pink and orange are not present in the stamp image on this side of the card, so I stayed with the prominent color of burgundy. So, what are your thoughts concerning a "non-folded" card?
