Beautiful layering...and perfect for this stellar picture! I love using this look for older photos. It just matches so well. Also loving the inking along the cut edge of the pinkish paper
WOW Kathy!!!! What a fabulous old photo!!!! I remember their hair styles & fashion............ brings back memories of my older sisters! Your soft colors & layering are amazing! FAV!
Love the photo, the beautiful layout and those sweet Southern names. Reminds me of my grandmother and her siblings' names. My grandma's name was Lillie Mae, sisters were Ona (we called her O-nee), Delia (Dee-lee), get this one...Lessie Thyra Irene Lucy Gladys (Aunt Coonie), yes she had five names!! And her married name was Shirley!! LOL! Great-Uncles were Horace (Uncle Hod), TJ (short for Thomas Jefferson), Roy D, Spud (can't even remember his real name)! Big family!! I also had a great aunt on my dad's side and we called her Aunt Minnie!
Back to the layout! It's awesome! :-)
So very beautiful, Kathy - your paper layering is a huge success - definitely reminiscent of Romy - love that retro picture and your southern names - FAVE ~
Love those Southern names!Just like a movie! This is beautiful, Kathy-love the soft colours, and you totally rocked the layering, taking Romy's style and giving it your own special signature! Drooling over those fantabulous flourishes! :)
Such a lovely photo! Thanks for sharing some southern humor about their names! How the heck did you end up in Alaska? Anyway, the layout is gorgeous! I love how you used the Prima paper and the layers! Beautiful floral cluster and flourishes!
Wow, amazing!! A beautiful composition, lovely layers and details, and quite an amazing group of women, love that photo, and loved reading about these wonderful Southern ladies!! What names!!
Don't ya just love Mondays???? LOL! Hello my dear friends! This lo is for the September Round Robin at SOE/SOD, which I am hosting this month. You wouldn't believe the gorgeous los that have been entered.
The photo in this lo is of my Mom, Grandma, and my DM's sisters. It's a very rare photo taken in the 1960's. You wouldn't believe their Southern names...from left to right: Pearl, Ruthie, Eunice, O'Leta Faye (mom), Joyce and Georgiana. There are only 2 of them still living, my DM and Georgiana. I grew up around these women, and learned a lot about being a Christian and a lady. They were/are very special to me!
My inspiration for this lo comes from the fabulous DT Romy Veul! I love her layering so much, that I tried to see if I could do it. She is such a wiz and wonderful designer.
Everything on this lo came from current and past SOE kits, which are the best! Thank you Mel!
Thank you for stopping by and for sharing your sweetness. My day is always a little brighter hearing from you! Big Alaska Bear Hugs!!!!! Kathy xoxoxo
