you want the redwood stakes inside the frames? I like how that looks. I think I would try a little bit of glue and nails to hold the stakes together - nails I'd use either with a nailgun and small nails, or a handheld stapler that shoots nails - mine does either small little nails or staples. So I think some wood glue/carpenters glue and a couple of nails in each corner to hold the redwood together should work, and then the same idea to hold the redwood frames to the old window frames. Does that make sense?
Last weekend I bought this old window frame for a dollar at a yard sale. I didn't know what I was going to do with it then I remembered I bought these nature prints from IKEA, but they were so large and not a common size so I never got around to framing them. Anyway. I think this will be a great frame for 2 of the three prints I just need to decide which two and in which order. I'm leaning toward the two flowers together then painting the window frame a blue color called tropical oasis by valspar. I am going to get glass cut a lowes and use the redwood garden stakes to hold it all together.
