That is beautiful. I love how you cut the headboard in half. It is a gorgeous bench. Is she leaving the seat the aged color and just painting the 2 x 4s in front?

got the sides screwed on. Cut the one piece in half to create the sides. Screwed it all together. Added a piece of 2x4 across the front, and then 1x2 slats along the sides as support for the seat.
