Oh gosh...the photo is wonderful. I keep looking at it. The whole Victorian touring car and the fashion is so cool. The fussy cutting bricck with the the car block was a great accent. I am so loving your family LOs.
How ingenious! I love how you found the old ad for the Empire. I think it is so cool that you figured out about how old the photo could be. The bricks are a nice touch, making it feel vintage.
My great great grandfather William Fenimore's first car, an Empire. His last son, Eugene is behind the wheel, whis stepson, Vernon is beside Eugene. Backseat is William, his youngest daughter, Helen Marie, and his 3rd wife, Marry Ella Fierce Monroe Fenimore. I found this advertisement for Empire from 1918 on line and printed it to use here. While my photo is not dated I know Eugene was born in 1900 and William died in 1917 so it had to be in the 1910s and before 1917. I did find an earlier advertisement but the graphics were not nearly as good so I opted to use the later ad.
