My goodness girl, I think you used everything but the kitchen sink! Hard to believe the background paper was white. I love how you used the ink & chalk. Beautiful colors, embellies, & precious photo of your boys! Wonderfully created E.E.!:)
Awww...such a sweet photo. That's a treasure forever. Beautiful page. The handmade flower is beautiful as is the beads and feather. One can see the love in the work you did to create this page for the boys. Wonderful job!
This is one of my absolute favorite photos of the boys that my husband took when they were little. For this layout, I started with white cardstock for the very bottom layer and inked it in with Tim Holtz Dusty Concord and Faded Jeans as well as Dew Drop Chalk ink in Perfect Plumeria and Night Sky, Color Box Mini Silver and Rubber Stampede (no color name on it)! For the heart I traced around an insert to a Valentine's box of chocolates altering the shape just a little. Distressed and inked around the edges of pretty much everything.
I made the flower with yarn from a Tracey Sabella tutorial; the feathers I made from paper (from an inspired picture on Pinterest) and I also made the beaded sprigs (also on Pinterest). At the bottom I stamped "Sweetness" in the Night Sky chalk ink and then added some Glossy Accents so it wouldn't rub off the shiny paper. The flourish under the butterfly was cut from my Cricut using cereal box material, then dabbed on pearl and topped off with Stickles in Stardust. The two pearl hearts were shank buttons. I removed the shanks to glue to the page. The metal heart is one I've had in my stash for many years and I colored it with TH alcohol ink in Stonewashed and dabbed on Perfect Pearls Forever Blue mica dust. The little filigree clip on the top left was actually gold that I colored with TH silver mixatives. And of course, the beautiful butterfly is from Reneabouquets on Etsy. Thank you Renea!
