The Amish on Eucation
The Amish operate one-room parochial schools that are taught by teachers with an eight grade education.
Although Amish families stop sending their children to school after 8th grade, the society itself acts as a vocational school. Children learn how to be farmers, homemakers, carpenters, and tradesmen.
By the time they are teens Amish girls know how to cook a full meal and boys understand farm operations.

I thought when I was on my trip how interesting the classroom of a school was, I was surprised that their education was only as high as 8th grade.. Just wanted to share some of my trip with the Amish boy and the school that I had taken a picture on our tour.

Hope ya like have a great day, Dawna
