This is for the music challenge- Category 4 - Blessed with a twist something that I am thankful for.
Our grandson Ryan was born with a genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome. It is characterized by medical problems, cardiovascular disease, sometimes developmental delays and learning disabilities. These occur side by side with striking verbal abilities, highly social personalities and an affinity for music. Unlike disorders that can make connecting with your child difficult, children with WS tend to be social, friendly, and endearing. Parents often say the joy and perspective a child with WS brings into their lives has truly been unimaginable. We are truly blessed to have Ryan in our lives. Ryan is equally blessed to have our daughter Kelly for a mom because she is relentless in seeking help for him and getting the appropriate services so that he has been able to flourish. Here he is at New York's Columbia Hospital, prior to a procedure, entertaining himself with an I Pad.
