More pics from the snowstorm of 1973. Journaling reads: "Having lived in coastal South Carolina and southern Georgia, I'd only seen snow a couple of time before, and not much of it then. So, in early 1973, our first winter in Griffin, I was delighted at the wonderful snowfall. Karen was here visiting, and we got out and built a snowman, complete with garden rake, charcoal buttons and eyes, and a carrot nose. The little pipe in his mouth was one Daddy made from a stick and a hulled out pecan shell. We had such a fun time in our little winter wonderland." January 1973

The bg pp is some I got years ago at the dollar store. I punched the snowflake border at the top (randomly, one flake at a time) and then cut around it with scalloped scissors. Then I added pink and white bling, alternately to the middles of the flakes. The title is hand-drawn, using a dark pink for the outlines of the letters, coloring them in with a colored pencil, then added the "snowcaps" with a signo. Lastly, I added some glitter glue to the very tops of the snowcaps. The ruffle edge frame was done with deco scissors and doodled with a signo; and the open work frame was cut using an old coluzzle template. I cut along the "hill" and slid the photo on the title page underneath. The random words and quotes are torn from an old vellum quote stack. The journaling was done on vellum and anchored with glue dots. I used some pink bling to cover up the glue dots. The small pink and green snowman is a rub on. I added a verse from "Winter Wonderland" handwritten under the snowflake border. The last thing I added was some iridescent Magic Scraps along the top of the snow. Thanks so much for stopping by!
