So is everyone in the USA getting ready for their Turkey Day??? I hope that your year was as bountiful as mine was...we have so much to be thankful for!!!

I've created my last lo for the November kit "Thankful". I so hate to set the remaining aside, but December is beckoning!! I wanted to share with you a photo of my DD, Jenny. This photo is my DH's favorite one taken when she was a baby and I was holding her. I don't think you can see that precious face very well. I was 22 years old in this photo, shoot I was still a baby too!! However, by then I had raised 4 of my brothers and sisters, so I was a seasoned Mom!!

I tried so many new techniques on this lo, I used beaded gesso gel over the stencil and then inked it. The gel fades away and leaves this sparkly, clear, raised effect. I did a lot of fussy cutting from the Kaisercraft papers that came in our last year's November kit. I don't know about you, but I hate the white edges you get when you fussy cut, so I go around every edge with a Distress Ink marker from TH. I know it's obsessive, but it's just a quirk of mine. All the other embellishments, except the chipboard were included in this month's kit. I never seem to be able to use them all LOL (although I really try).
