Wow. This is just awesome Melissa. And a guest design team member. Congratulations!! I love this sleigh. So creative and so gorgeous. The colors , the sparkle, the fairies, the butterfly and overall design is amazing. Fantastic work!!
This is my first reveal with Gina's Designs. I'm a guest designer for this month, then on the team for 2014. I painted this with acrylic silks, acrylic paint, lumieres, Twinkling H20s,and liquid pearls. The raised design is texture paste applied on a Prima stencil. This is what I'll call side A of the sleigh, there's another, side B,following this one. This side looks different because theres so many layers of powders and paints underneath the one you see. I started of with purple acrylic silk, then a coat of blue , then some silver lumiers on the stenciled texture. I didn't like so kept putting on more stuff, then finally coated it all with aqua metallic paint. I painted the flourishes with Twinkling H20s , i mixed purple with regular watercolor in blue. I also put this color all over , letting it pool in between the texture.
I've embellished it with fairies, flourishes, and a feather.
stickles There are more photos on my blog. Sequins are from Abbygirl, and in the last photo of the blog, you can see some Spanish moss inside the sleigh. That's part of a nest that a scrapper gave me, who wants to be anonymous. (you know who you are, lol)
