I choose a soft wintery layout from GFTMS gallery. I completed the lift from memory so a few details are different. It is difficult to see but there are snowflakes stamped in Versamark ink on the background paper. Too Light I think. I then used a 8x 8 piece of Christmas patterned paper to build a background. I matted the photo onto a red polka dot piece of paper and black cardstock. I cut a wavy strip of black cardstock to add another layer. I cut some ornaments using my Cricut Winter Frolic cartridge and used glossy accents on the snowflake punched flakes. I still like the original better, but like my interpretation too.
