Here is another little gift I made during my Thanksgiving week vacation. When my husband and I stopped at our favorite junk dealer in northern Wisconsin in November I found lots of "things" I couldn't imagine living another day without (LOL!) In my quest for vintage clocks to redo, I also found a box of air pressure gauges. I thought the concept wouldn't be too much different than working with a clock, so I purchased one and again, I was pleased with the result. I took the gauge apart and cleaned it up as best I could. I think made some paw prints out of clay by taking a paw stamp and pressing hard into the clay. Once the clay pieces were done baking, I cut them into circles and standing the edges smooth, painted them silver, used black Liquid Pearls to fill in the print and outline each piece with Diamond Stickles. I bought some super strong adhesive for another craft project and thought the round beads would adhere better to the edge of the metal gauge, and it worked!!! I also used Rock Candy on the entire outside of the metal piece. That part didn't turn out like I had hoped it would, but the metal is still distressed and will do. Then finally today, I took tiny letter and spelled "Buddies" and glued them on the beads.

This is my husband when he was about 10 and his cockapoo puppy Bootsie. They were inseparable. Pictures of the two of them are also a rare find, so I was very happy this turned out well too.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love it when my friends gather for a visit.

HUGGIES!
