Altered mini dresser, made of wood, stands seven inches wide. It was inspired by a post on Pinterest, called Mini dresser with matchboxes,by Andrea Teixeira . Her blog is called OBJECTOS BY DEA. I 'de already planned on using this dresser, and when I saw the scene above hers I thought , hey that's a great idea. All the chipboard is from Gina's Designs.
I enjoyed the colors from last week' Valentine's post so much that i felt like making something pink. The background is watercolor paper that I sprayed with water , then red Dylusions ink. I painted the wood with acrylic paints. I made some texture on the front, and top of the dresser using a piece of lace as a stencil, and clear gloss gel medium. I painted over the texture with layers of different types of acrylic paints.
The pink crystals and the blue earring next to the seahorse charm , and the heart charm at the middle top drawer are from my sister. The sequins are from Abbygirl.
I also used microbeads, and my latest favorite , deco pens in silver and gold.
The butterfly to the right of the image is by Reneabouquet. The sterling and pink crystal feather on the chain is an old earring. Some of the flowers I made.
There are close-ups on my blog.
Ide like to get more photos for my blog of this in sunlight, but I already re-did this in purple, and it is dark purple.
