This is great..I saw your "ugly" pps in your gallery and thought now there's a challenge but you rocked it (pun intended)...love the little doll with the herringbone hair and the whole layout is so cool and the photos are adorable.
Here is the layout that I completed using the papers I received for the January Ugly Paper Challenge.
DD loves music. She loves to dance and sway to the music. One night DH was playing around with his guitar and DD wanted to play too! She realized what the pick was right away and played a few notes!
The microphone strips and the guitars on the bottom and the side come from the guitar "ugly" paper sheet. The background behind the pictures and the top flower were cut out using the second "ugly" sheet. The yellow flower embellishment was used in the flowers behind the guitar playing "doll." I attached it to a larger brick red flower and then cut it in half so it could add a little more volume behind the doll.
This was definitely a test to creativity. It's not even the "ugliness" of the papers that was hard, but the fact that the tones and attitude of the papers didn't match. They make distress ink for that though!
