Our visit to a Philadelphia Art Museum exhibition.. For the following challenges : Page Maps 5, Travel, Volume. Project
52 - week ending January 5th, VLB and Compliment Corner.
Journaling reads:
"We went to the Leger exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on January 5, 2014. Leger began his career shortly before WWI in Paris. He was fascinated by the city and hence the name of the exhibit,, Leger ,Modern Art and the Metropolis. He was influenced by the cubists and his objects were represented by shapes and colors rather than true representation. He saw the city as bustling whirl of colors and shapes, After WWI, he returned to Paris and was heavily influenced by the billboards and murals which were on mostly every building. He was involved in architure, advertising, film and theatre."

Next time you are in a city squint your eyes and see if you can see what he saw.
