Love this. I was searching the gallery for inspiration because my bf and I will be going to the Herbert Hoover Museum in West Branch, Iowa. This year they have an Prohibition exhibit about the mob. I'm super excited about it. My favorite eras are the 1920s and 1930s
Nice layout. We just visited the museum on our road trip to celebrate our 40th anniversary. I just finished my page about the museum and I'll post it in a bit. I visited your gallery. Nice work. You have a new "follower."
I was just thinking the same thing! Awesome work! What a gorgeous building too~ Beautifully done Kelly! Absolutely love how you did the filmstrip photo's~ Great focal point & beautiful Maja too!
What a fabulous lo! Love the chips! Interesting info! Dh and I went to Vegas twice. We had a blast and are thinking of possibly going again in the future! Our next trip is at the end of March...going to Florida! Can't wait Especially with this weather! Right now my Dh is snow blowing our driveway and Angela has a cold with a fever...we are sooooo ready for Florida!
What a gorgeous old building. looks like a great place to visit. Love the design of your LO and all your vintage touches - along with the poker chips to help tell the story.
Wonderful photos and design. Didn't know they had this Museum. Will have to go see it next time we visit hubby's parents as they live there and let them know. I don't think they know this exists. Great layout.
WOW, didn't even know they had a museum, very interesting. Your lo depicted the "mob" wonderfully even down to the getaway car! Beautifully done as always!:)
This is really cool! My dad would love to see the mob museum! We have been downtown a few times, but I never knew this existed! Great photos and design! I didn't even notice there were no flowers! That's a "great" design! LOL
The poker chips are a terrific accent to your LO. I'm putting the museum on my bucket novel. We have been to Vegas so many times, it will be fun to visit something new. I agree with Old Misery. Your LO is lovely without flowers. The gears work beautifully.
If you are visiting Las Vegas in the future, I highly recommend a trip Downtown to visit the Mob Museum. It's located a few blocks off of Fremont Street.
The old post office in that area was turned in the museum. It is 3 floors of memorabilia, photos, hands-on displays and film clips. Very impressive collection. It would actually take days to read/see everything. We spent a good 3 hours. I was aware of the mob presence in the early years of Las Vegas, but not to the extent that this museum represents. We found it be very informative and quite interesting. This layout just provides a glimpse of what this museum has to offer.
The photo is a postcard of the actual museum. The poker chips I bought in the gift shop. 3 for $1.
This is my first layout I didn't put some kind of flowers on it. LOL
Chippies include Tim Holtz, Gina's Designs and FabScraps. Background paper is Maja
