On a bridge, off the beaten path of tourists, in a residential area of Venice, Italy stand my beautiful daughter and her husband just minutes after being wed. I chose to scrapbook this photo because of the true Old World charm of this Venetian scene. The old buildings with planters on the outside of the windows; the beautiful terra cotta, cream, and navy blue colors; and the gondolas parked on the edge of this 'street' canal. What a perfect back drop for new meets old! I cannot say enough times how beautiful Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays are. I was able to turn an otherwise very drab colored shabby chic floral by Prima into a beautiful terra cotta that exactly matches the paint color in the photo by lightly spraying it with 'Red Hot Poker Orange'. The chipboard balustrade was first coated in Gesso; then acrylic painted with 'Light Buttermilk' color; Creamy Brown pigment ink and Distress Stickles 'Antique Linen' were used to give it an old look. This layout took me quite a while to put together for this end result. That is why I love to scrapbook....trying to coordinate colors, being creative, relaxing and just having so much fun! Thank you for viewing my newest layout! Lisa
