I was just about to retire to bed & spotted this glorious Heritage beauty you made & had to comment on. your details are are most gorgeous piece of beauty. You beat all I've ever seen!!!!
You really have a knack for heritage layouts, my friend!! This came out beautiful, with so much to look at. Love the way you joined the fences, and the colours & details set off that fabulous photo so well!
Oh my this is beautiful! I absolutely love heritage layouts and I love how this one is so girly and soft. So many details on this layout that really draw me in. And that little whit picket fence is adorable! Love it!
gasp!!!!! once again your cousin comes through for you!!! This photo of mom and her sissies is divine. What a treasure. You must have danced (you know..the kind of dance one should NOT do in public but totally appropriate at the scrappy table? hehe). This is magical and the G45...well I need this collection now. Your vintage is outstanding. also love the folding at the top.
This reminds me of my sister & I growing up & we did the same thing, lined up by age. Wasn't 1934, but we still wore dresses & the anklets. Simple stunning Elizabeth! Thanks for sharing how you did it & I love the flowers & the twine swirl. Wonderful punch work & how you did the hinges!:)
Amazing amazing amazing...!!! I love what you did with the frilly lace punch and the folds; Awesome! The 'vintage feel' is SO there~ Beautiful work Eliz.~
WOW, Elizabeth - this is breathtaking - it seems like you're really using this site to create some wonderful effects - love the pleated bow, the raffia flowers, the beautiful punched doily, and that sweet fussy cut Little Darlings girl - your photo is wonderful too - this goes straight into my FAVE's ~
CUTE, CUTE, CUTE! Such an adorable photo and so many beautiful details! Love the paper folding, the fence, the "little darling", the punch work and the pretty twine flowers!
That was a great help to know the girls are in age order, you will always know who it is. Like the punched mat and your "Tracey" flowers. That's sweet to put buttons that belonged to your mom on your page.
a very beautiful and richly elegantly detailed page with such a wonderful description of how you created this masterpiece , you couldn't have chosen a more perfect foto ... fav and more...xo
Hello everyone! This is my second heritage layout featuring a photo of my sweet mom and aunts that was taken around 1933 or '34. My mom is the 2nd from the right. This lovely photo was sent to me via email from my cousin in California. I remember my mom telling me that nearly every photo ever taken of her and my aunts, they stood in order, oldest to youngest left to right!
Did a lot of prep work on this one, same as my first! It didn't take me as long to choose my papers this time as it normally does although the design is different that I'd originally planned. I had the pretty roses paper I had used a Lucky 8 punch on awhile back and was going to have it flat and sort of offset but ended up cutting it down and pleating it! That was an inspiration from Marilyn Rivera. I printed the title onto a printable I got off Pinterest and glued it to the name plate that I cut out on my Cricut. The nameplate and fence are from the Potpourri Basket cartridge. The spool script and clock were also printables on Pinterest. I made the yarn flowers from a twine flower tutorial from Tracey Sabella (thank you Tracey!). The fence and hinges were also cut on my Cricut from fruit snack box material. On the fence I first painted it with Gesso, then with Tim Holtz picket fence crackle paint and when dried rubbed Vintage Photo on it, then wiped it off with a damp paper towel. The fence closure is just a couple of brads I hooked a chain onto and wrapped around the posts. I got that cool idea from Renea although she used twine on one of hers. I just inked the hinges in with the Vintage Photo, then dabbed a little white acrylic paint on a paper towel and rubbed it on a bit. The brads I heated up with my heat gun and then dipped in embossing powder just until set and also dabbed a little white paint on them. The colorful butterfly is an actual photo I printed from my Print Shop program and cut out. The pretty button in the bow center and the cloisonne button on the largest flower were from my mother's button tin and are very special to me. She and my Aunt Jerry are gone now. My Aunt Cleda (the eldest) and Aunt Eva (the youngest) are still living. The little branch with flowers on the photo and the fence are metal that I colored with some paint and chalk ink and then used TH distress stickles in Tarnished Brass for the flower centers. The pretty paper under the photo is DCWV 8x8 Old World stack and the fanned paper is Colorbok Rosewood. I love that stuff!
Thank you all so much for the visits and lovely comments. Your feedback is so much appreciated!
