For the February, 2014 BOM challenge. A childhood Accomplishment

2014 Project 52: Week 10

Journaling reads:

I remember one Thanksgiving when I was young when my grandmother showed me how to make an apple pie. I never did forget the ingredients. I still remember her telling me the ingredients are half and half.

That was my first memory of baking pies. I learned to love baking pies after that. Not just grandma's apple pie, but all kinds of pies. Over the years I have altered the pie slightly, sometimes adding a cruch top over the apples, or a fancy basket weave top crust, but I never alter the original ingredients. You might think that apple pie is apple pie, but I don't think so. My apple pie, handed down from my grandma, has developed a repuation of leaving people wanting more. I often get requests for my pie at special family gatherings.
