I feel much more in control today even though the back-and-forth nature of the routine hasn’t changed. In fact, looking back on yesterday, I can honestly say “at least they weren’t crying at the SAME time” which frequently happens and then I have to choose which child needs me MORE. So today I filled my cup of patience back up, and started again. Made Valentine’s Day themed breakfast for Cameron. Made a bunch of Valentine’s Day goodies for dinner and dessert: roast beef with carrots and onions in the crock pot, stove-top-fried potatoes, salad, decorative jello jigglers, cute red velvet cupcakes, and macerated strawberries to top ice cream or cupcakes :) As I was making the Red Velvet cupcakes in the kitchen, Cameron snuck in and stole one! I caught him red-handed - literally - sitting on the couch with red on his hands and face. I asked him if he ate a cupcake and he told me “No?” in this innocent little way. I don’t think he knew what I was asking him but it was funny all the same. The boys loved their Valentine’s Day gifts. Cameron INHALED his little chocolate!
PRODUCTS: Cindy's Layered Cards: Love 2 by Cindy Schneider, papers and elements from "[every day] just february" kit from Lauren Grier, hand print from kidley.net, cupcake from endlessicons.com. I created the picture cards and journal card.
