One of the attractions we went to while in Las Vegas was the Neon Boneyard and Museum. This is a collection of many of the old signs that were once used in Las Vegas. It was quite interesting and left me nostalgic. When I was a teenager, my family took bi-yearly Las Vegas trips between 1980 and 1985, plus all the trips that DH and I have made in the 2000's so I remembered a lot of the old signs. I wish they had more room to display all the signs as many were stacked 3 - 4 deep.
There were just so many photos I wanted to include in this layout. I included just the most memorable. As part of their collection is the old pirate head from the Treasure Island n/k/a the TI hotel. The head is huge and we could only make out a part of it standing on the ground beside it. The guide told us that when we get home do a Google maps satellite search and you can see the top of the pirate's head. I thought it was too cool.
