I haven't had any that have lost their color. However, I have one that I have only used like twice and I can't get any ink to come out of it! I checked and there is plenty left. Sorry I can't help your situation!

Did you shake it up good? I was going to suggest if it was the ink pads to get some reinkers if it's drying up, but the stain? How odd!
