JOURNAL: Went over to the Annapolis mall with the Beverly Beach Babies group of girls to use our day passes at ZBounce. Too bad our day passes were Monday through Thursday and we were there on a Friday! Mom Fail!! We instead had a snack with all the kids by the fish tank and then decided that all the kids would really like to ride the train. Since Michelle and I needed to stay with our little babies, we put our big boys on the train with Brenda and Nancy and their little ones. Liam hated the train from the moment he got on and Michelle was not with him. Cameron loved it until a) the train started moving away from me and b) he noticed that Liam was in hysterics. All of the sudden we had a train riding through the mall with two screaming toddlers… and two moms chasing after the train with strollers yelling “It's OK! It's OK!!!!” Dear God, a 2 minute train loop around the mall has never felt so long. I laughed hysterically since we looked like a winning video from America's Funniest… and besides, if I didn't, I would have cried. Right after THAT fiasco, we decided to take the kids all into the little “park” run-around area right next door. As we were getting all the babies out of strollers, Delaney (14 months) took off and got onto the escalator by herself! Brenda caught up with her just a few stairs into it, but what a way to get your heart pumping! The kids had a blast in the play area and thoroughly exhausted themselves. We packed everyone back into strollers and made the trek to the opposite side of the mall to hit Chick Fillet at the food court for lunch. The moms made a quick pass through a few stores after lunch and Cameron was out for the count when we hit Payless. 5 minutes later, Michelle and I went into the mother's room in Nordstrom to feed our littlest ones and the noise from it all woke Cameron up - who was not too happy to have his slumber cut short. The bad news is that he considered this 5 minutes his nap for the day. When we got home ALL THE OTHER BABIES IN THE GROUP took loooong naps from all the excitement - but my two boys? NO WAY! Spin them up like tops when they're tired. Cameron was bouncing off the walls by bed time and ended the night in a full melt-down while I was in the middle of bathing Evan. I had to give Evan (and a bottle) to Craig and console Cameron and get his tired little self back into bed. All in all, it was a truly EPIC day and one that made me laugh and cry - one of those days where you feel like you have been run over by a truck, and when the kids are finally in bed you sigh, breath, and want to collapse on the couch. That is JUST what I did. I skipped my Project Life routine tonight and was asleep on the couch by 9:30 pm - 5 minutes after my boys were both in bed. I woke up bleary eyed at 10:30 and carted myself up the stairs and into bed.
