This is our beautiful Birman baby. “I Love Lucy” is her ‘official certified’ name, but we just refer to her as Lucy, among many other loving nicknames. Gali, our big 9 lb. Birman is Lucy’s Mama, who I recently scrapped and posted. Lucy is only 7 lbs. She is tiny for a Birman, but has a HUMONGOUS personality. She is full of life, spunk and mischief. She makes things very interesting in our household. Every single day is a laugh with Lucy!
In the ‘Birman World’ names are given based on the birth year, which changes with the alphabet. Lucy was born in 2011 which was the “I” year for Birmans, so I had the breeder officially name her “I Love Lucy”. We were SO LUCKY to get Lucy, who was the runt of a litter of five – four huge boys twice Lucy’s size, but that did not stop her from showing her brothers who was boss! LOL I actually saw her in action before she was able to come home with us! Lucy & her Mama Gali are best of friends and playmates – exactly two years apart in age; both born on April 14th!
Lucy’s eyes are such a stunning blue, just like her Mama Gali’s, only Lucy’s are actually more ‘intense’ in color and just blow me away! Lucy has the most expressive face to match her rambunctious personality. In this photo, she was on top of the microwave excited at the birds coming to feed that she could see through the window. I was able to distract her briefly for this wonderful photo. The very cool thing about Birmans is that their eyes are round. You can really see this in Lucy’s photo.
I chose ‘fun’ papers in the My Mind’s Eye collection “Totally Girl” that I have had for years. Lucy is never subdued, unless she is asleep, so all of the pages that I scrap of her are ‘lively’. Even though Lucy is totally a Tomboy, I always scrap her in a somewhat dainty way.
The title chipboard is custom made by Want2Scrap that I embossed with Lindy’s gorgeous Hyacinth Blue Green. WOW! All flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, Recollections (Michael’s) & Petaloo. The metal flowers are by Momenta that I added navy blue crystal bling to the centers. The paper butterflies are from Michael’s $1 bin that I used Stickles on the bodies and the glittery rub on ones are by Paper House. The green flower pearls are Wild Orchid Crafts.
Thank you SO much for taking a look at my LO. I truly ADORE my cats. Have a GREAT day! Lisa
