Photo taken by me on 6-27-06 at Long Bridge Park. This is my 3rd layout in my educational wildflower series.
Journaling: Most of us refer to the flowers in this picture as an Orange Lily, or a Tiger Lily.
But, it is sometimes called a “Day Lily” or a "Ditch Lily". It's because this prolific wildflower is commonly seen growing wild along the roadsides in the United States.
They bloom from July through September. They grow to a height of 48 inches. Orange, pink, yellow and red varieties are available.
